Familys, Where did they go?

The modern family is descending, compared to what a family used to be not too long ago. I see all of these TV shows that show families as being perfect and eating dinner together around a table every night. In reality, families these days rarely sit down at dinner and actually converse about what happened that day and how life is going for them. Some families don't even get to talk over the course of the day.I am sometimes guilty of this. I go to school, do my homework, go to basketball practice, eat a quick meal, go to the gym, then finally come home and crash. It doesn't amaze me as much anymore, now that i experience not being in touch with my family as much as i used to be, but it still disappoints me. "Many families live in different cities then they once did" Kitty Stevens said. Modern cities will tend to change the lifestyle of everyone. With so many things to accomplish in a day, there leaves no time to spend with the people who brought you into this world. Although many cons come out of this modern day family, i think there is some good to find. When people have things to do, there is less room to get in trouble, and more room to learn about the world. I believe that learning about the real world early, will help prepare everyone better for the long run.So is the modern day family a good thing for the world right now, or a bad thing?
